He was an American actor and performer of dangerous scenes who served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He played football at the University of Wisconsin and participated as an actor and doppler in his first television film Soldiers of Fortune (1956) and The Badlanders (1958). His film and television work continued in supporting roles and small roles, such as miner, strongman, gang member, prisoner, thief, drunkard, officer, soldier, security guard, traveler, gambler, barman, salesman, and merchant. He excelled as a drunkard in his last work, the 1983 TV movie Automan. He died in 1998 at the age of 77.
