An American actress who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA on July 15, 1919 as Eva Elizabeth McVeagh and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on December 10, 1997. She was married to four husbands and had four children. Her most important works include Mathnet (1987), Glass Houses...Read more (1972), The Twilight Zone (1962-1964), and High Noon (1952). She worked in theatre, film, television, and radio. She was the daughter of a railroad writer, and she began theater work as a teenager in Los Angeles. She provided leading and supporting roles. After her theatrical success in Hollywood, she moved to New York, where she worked in the Broadway theater and worked on the radio. She began her screen activities with television work in 1948, and her first movie was High Noon (1952). Her last film was Creator (1985), and her last TV series was Ohara (1988). She worked as an actress and voice coach at Warner Brothers Studios. She taught at the University of Southern California at the School of The stage. She died in 1997 at the age of 78.
