American actor, born on March 5, 1926, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, USA. He was married to Mary Lynn Russell (1972-2000) and Rosemary J Schwebs (1949-1968). He was a captain in the US Navy in Korea and Vietnam. He was the son of actress Lady Rowlands, brother of actress Gena Rowlands and brother-in-law of actor-director John Cassavetes. He is known for The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976), Opening Night (1977), and Minnie and Moskowitz (1971). He died on April 25, 2000, in Coronado, California, USA.
