• British actor, born in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom on January 11, 1911. His career spanned from the 1930s until the early 1970s. He was educated at Blundell School, and began...Read more acting at school in the Latin plays . He also trained on stage at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He toured theatrical performances in the 1930s in Australia, and in the 1940s he toured the United States, and during the fifties joined the Old Theater Vic. He made his screen debut in the 1932 movie Holiday Lovers. Among his notable works The Creeping Flesh (1973), David Copperfield (1966), The Forsyte Saga (1967) and The Avengers (1964). He died in London, on June 17, 1983 from complications of a stroke.
