A German actor, born on January 14, 1955, in Hamburg, West Germany. Jan was married to Marion Fedder. He was the lead singer for the rock band Big Balls. He was the Ambassador of the German Maritime Rescue Service (2007). In 2006, he won the German Television Award for his performance in The Man in the Stream. He also worked as a voice actor. He is known for The Boat (1981), Der Mann im Strom (2006), and Soul Kitchen (2009). He died on December 30, 2019, in Hamburg, Germany, of oral cancer.
