British writer, born on March 21, 1940. He was previously married to Valentina Artsrunik and Sheila Wilshire. In 1964, he was arrested and sentenced to eight years in prison. After his release, he wrote an autobiography in the film McVicar (1980), and studied for a postgraduate degree at the University of Leicester. He is known for McVicar (1980), Arena (1975), and The Big Story (1993). He died on September 6, 2022.
