He married Lillian L. Myrick (1919-1942) and they had one child, and she remained with him until his death. Among his notable works are Spell of the Circus (1930), The Jungle Stockade (1915) and The Great Circus Mystery (1925). He died in Bakersfield, California, USA, on June 11, 1942, following a car accident on location.
