Following her return to Cairo to resume filming her new television series “Nour Maryam” which had been put on hold due to the events of the revolution of the 25th of January, Lebanese actress Nicole Saba has confirmed that she is quite optimistic about Egypt’s future. She also further indicated that she was neither for nor against Hosny Mubarak’s ousted regime adding that all that concerns here is peace in the country which she has lived in for eight years. In that same context Nicole has affirmed that she believes that it would be best for performers to distance themselves from politics because they do not know what their opinions and comments could lead to. Moreover events could change fundamentally as what was observed. It should be noted that artist Nicole Saba had travelled to Beirut at the outset of the revolution, to this effect she has stated “I found that it was better to return to Beirut until matters in Egypt settled. I wish with all my heart that Egypt returns to normal and that peace and security prevail.”
