Youssif el-Shereef assumes a television role where he portrays a man purifying himself of the old regime

Actor Youssif el-Shereef has returned from Sharm el-Sheikh where he had filmed several scenes for the television series “Nour Maryam”. The series is scheduled to air in the upcoming month of Ramadan. Youssif portrays a character named “Nour” and the actor has commented on his character whereby he said: “Nour is a character who represents the corruption of the old regime and he utilizes all sorts of illegal means to achieve his ends, however, he suffers an accident which causes him to turn around completely and seek to purify himself from his previous actions.”“Nour Maryam” features the talents of Youssif Shereef, Nicole Saba, Yasser Galal, Gehan Fadel, Caroline Khalil, Youssif Fawzy, Ahmed Khalil and Malik Koura. The story is credited to Nawal Mustafa while the screenplay and dialogue are credited to Mohamed al-Basswisy. Ibrahim al-Shawadi directs the work which is produced by Sawt al-Qahira.
