Having been attacked verbally and physically many times, actress Samah Anwar and her son decided to relocate to Kuwait. The reason behind these alleged attacks as Samah said was her statements that she made during the Egyptian revolution when she came on Egyptian television and said “Why don’t you burn those people in Tahrir”In a telephone interview with TV presenter Wael El Ibrashy on his program “The Truth” or “ Al Hakeeka”, Samah said that recently she has been living in terror and in fear of her life and her son’s because of the verbal and physical attacks they had to undergo, which forced them to stay indoors all the time and eventually urged her to move out of the entire country.Samah had explained more than once that her opinion was misled by the media, and that when she said “burn them” she meant the thugs and criminals who don’t care about the welfare of Egypt and not the revolutionists. She had also apologized many times but in vain. In the end she hopes that Egypt will return to its original state and the people will accept her apology and forgive her and understand that when she said what she said it was out of fear for Egypt. Samah also hopes that the Egyptians would understand that dispute amongst people is only a natural phenomenon and is bound to happen in such cases.
