The acting myth Ahmed Zaki, would have turned today 62 years old. He was born on the 18th of November 1949 in Zakazeek city.The legendary Ahmed Zaki was one of the shining stars during the eighties and nineties, where he presented a very unique trend of movies that gave him an advantage above other actors of his generation. The late actor is one of the pillars of Egyptian and Arabic drama whether on the small screen or in the cinema. For television is provided the series “Days” or “Ayam” that was a biography of “Taha Hussein” who was the Dean of Arabic Literature, in the series he played the role of Taha Hussein.He also presented the series “Him and Her” or “Howa we Heya” alongside legendary actress and the Egyptian Cinderella the late Suad Hossni. As for his most outstanding movies were : “Eyes that don’t Sleep”, “Love on the edge of the Pyramid” , “The Dreams of Hend and Camelia”, “Naser 56”, “The Runaway”, “Against the Government” and “The Land of Fear”. As for her theatrical work, some of his most famous and deeply cherished plays that were memorable along the years were “Hello Shalaby”, “The School of Delinquents” and “Kids All Grown Up”.Zaki’s final movie before his death was “Halim” where he played the role of legendary classic singer late Abdel Halim Hafez AKA “The Nightingale”. The movie was directed by Sherif Arafa.Ahmed Zaki died on the 27th of March 2005 after a long struggle with cancer.
