Egyptian actor Hesham Abdel Hamid had expressed his wish to portray the Egyptian ex President Hosni Mubarak in an artistic production that impersonates his character, with no desire to exploit any certain political trend or tendency but rather to demonstrate the many significant changes that Egypt underwent throughout his reign, which is all potential for a good drama. In a statement he made to the Middle East News Agency he added that the life of Mubarak is rich with events ever since he was vice president all the way through his 30 year presidency and until he was removed by the Egyptian revolution last year. Hesham also certified that he participated in the Egyptian revolution which led to the president’s removal because he was rejecting the repressive policies that were a result of the many years of his reign. As well as his secret combination between power and wealth, this led to even more corruption along the years in Egypt.Hesham is keen to keep his personal opinion out of any work he is involved in if it comes to impersonating the ex President. He only wants to focus on the dramatic change of events that Egypt went through along the years.
