Wagdy Al-Araby: Theatre artist is like an orator on the stand

Retired artist Wagdy Al-Araby confirmed that art must be submitted under the guise of religion, Sunnah, constitution and eastern nature, refusing it to be used to seduction by nudity, as it happens in many art work now.He pointed in an interview with Al-Masry Al-Yoom newspaper, art is a very important message, comparing theatre artist to an orator on the stand, because both has their importance and role. He expressed his regret of the artists’ misuse of their tools and confirmed that he also adheres to the words of Sheikh Al-Shaaerawi: “Life legitimates are acting and it’s prohibit is acting” explaining that what is forbidden in our lives like touching women and sleeping with them is also forbidden in acting. His opinion on what is currently being displayed, he said: A large part of it is vulgarity and nudity, reference to the Arab world that overlooked growing a generation that carries a message.
