Google celebrates the birth of Mohamed Abd El Wahab.

Born in Bab El-Shaariyah on 13 March 1902, singer and composer Mohamed Abd El Wahab is considered one of the most valuable names in Arabic music. He was called the “Musician of generations” as he had a very long career in Arabic music that started from the 30’s and ended in the late 80’s. Today, Google celebrates his golden era and launched its search logo with his famous “oud” and “glasses” in memory of a singer that enriched the Arabic world with his magical music and voice for many years.He was not just a singer and composer of his own songs, but he also contributed by composing for many singing idols like Um Khalthoum, Abd El Halim Hafez, Asmahan, Fayzah Ahmed and Fairouz and many more. Abd El Wahab passed away on 4 May 1991 and had a military funeral on the 5th.
