Hopkins is Andy Garcia's reincarnation of Hemingway.

"Silence of the Lambs" star, Anthony Hopkins, is to play Ernest Hemingway in Andy Garcia's new film "Hemingway and Fuentes" which based on the last decade in the life of the famous and Pulitzer Prize winner author.Garcia has revealed to "Deadline" that he's been wanting to do this project for as long as he remembers, he chose the last decade as it holds the most important novel that Hemingway, "The Old Man and The Sea", as well as some of the tragedies he had to go through till he passed away. He also added that he has signed with Hopkins for the part of the greatest American writer, and with Annette Benning to play the role of Hemingway's wife, Mary Welsh. Garcia is costarring as well, playing the real life fishing-boat captain Gregorio Fuentes who inspired Hemingway for his most important novel. Garcia also said that the project is out for financing and is expected to be filmed in Cuba where Hemingway has lived his last years. The last time Hemingway appeared on the silver screen was in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" where a writer goes back to Paris in the 20's and meet the greatest artists and authors including his own favourite, Hemingway.
