"El Hesab" is presented in the Short Films' Competition in Gulf Film Festival

The 5th Gulf Film Festival picks a number of critically acclaimed movies to show to the general crowd for free.Those movies include the Emirati movie "Thel El Bahr" or "Shadow of the sea", the Jordanian "Amo Nashaat" or "Uncle Nashaat" as well as the documentary "Samtan" or "Silence". Families are promised a really fun day at the festival as 9 children movies discussing different topics will be presented as well.5 movies from "Official competition for short Films" will be presented, exploring new techniques in film making and presenting modern and relevant topics. This will include the worldwide presentation for the movie "Lighthouse" in addition to 3 award winning movies: "The sea is all I know" from USA, "The factory" from Brazil, "Superman, Spiderman or Batman" and "Payback" or "El hesab" from Egypt.All movies in the festival are being presented for the first time worldwide including the Irani Emirati movie "Helw w hamed mesl el roman or "Sweet and sour like pomegranate" as well as 3 Saudi movies: "Nafezet Laila" or "Laila's window" by director Shahd Amin, "El Mamlaka El Arabya El Soodya fi 3yonheme" or "Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in their eyes" by director Khalil El-Nabulsy and "Kerm" by director Hamza Tarzan. Director Abdel Azeez Belam's movie "Saalany El tabib" "The doctor asked me" is the only Kuwaiti movie in the mix.The Saudi movie "Neaal El marhoom" or "The departed's shoes" by director Mohamed El-Basha is also presented for the first time worldwide. Other presentations are "El Dagal El Aawar" or "the one-eyed Antichrist" by Iraqi director Sarmad Zubayday and "Les" or "thief".
