Since 2004, a new program has been added to Cannes Film Festival and became an important part of it, which is Cannes Classic. This program is concerned with making over old classics and presenting them again in new copies as an honorary gesture. In the 65th annual festival starting on 16th of May and ending on 28th, it will be no different.13 feature films will be subject to the makeover, including Sergio Leone's "Once upon a time in America" in 1984, made over by Martin Scorsese's Film Foundation as they put 25 minutes of additional footage based on Leone's first cut. Film's stars Robert De Niro and Jennifer Connelly will be in attendance for the screening as well as Martin Scorsese himself.Other makeovers will be shown, such as "Lawrence of Arabia" in its 50th anniversary, "Jaws" for Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchocock's "The Ring" and Roman Polanski's film "Tess" whose restoration he supervised himself.
