Fox hands over "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" sequel to Matt Reeves.

Director Matt Reeves is Fox choice for their most anticipated sequel of their 2011 "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" which is due to hit theaters in May 2014.Fox has been hunting for a director since the first part maker Rupert Wyatt stepped out of the project and had many nominees like Jeff Nicholas, Guillermo Del Toro and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.The 93 million budget "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" was a successful blockbuster with a gross of more than 468 million dollars since it was released in August 2011 and hopes for the second part entitled "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" to be as successful.
