"The Impossible" gained international critics acceptance.

The Tsunami drama by Juan Antonio Bayona"TheImpossible" which is based on the real-life experienced of the AlvarezBelon family managed to gain positive critics reviews in international media.

Betsy Sharkey from Los Angeles Times said: "Bayona achieves a rare sense of balance between the big and the powerful aswell as the small and the intimate in the family's survival against impossibleodds, no doubt the inspiration for the title.".

While Kevin Harley from Total Film said:"Marshalling formidable technique and force of feeling, Bayona's tale of courageand empathy in the face of catastrophe fulfils his debut's promise, itsharrowing conviction hammered home even harder by the spot-on casting."

As for the performance of lead actors NaomiWatts and Ewan McGregor; Deborah Young from The Hollywood Reporter wrote:"Naomi Watts offers strong feelings of the broken and vulnerable Maria, whosetears of pain and fear were real and far from acting, whereas, McGregor wascovered with excessive blood and seems stunned in a way he would forget to havea bath. Nerves remain tense like a razor when he tries to find his family inwide and torn spaces of natural land."

Watts seems to be out to grab many awards asshe is nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globes and the Critics GuildAwards.

"The Impossible" is currentlyshowing in cinemas in Egypt distributed by United Motion Pictures.
