"Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" Opens Today in 3D IMAX in Egypt

Today marks the opening of "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" in Egypt. It's playing exclusively in 3D at the Vodafone IMAX Theater. The new screen adaptation of the classic German fairytale has crushed the competition in the U.S. box office. The film stars Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen and Derek Mears. It was written and directed by Tommy Wirkola.

Wirkola brings us an interesting twist on the classic: Hansel and Gretel are now bounty hunters who track down witches all over the world. The film follows the siblings as they face down the greatest evil they've ever known, which may hold a secret to their past.

"Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" is the sixth IMAX show to open since the theater's grand opening in October 2012. It's also the third 3D movie to play in Egyptian cinemas (ever) after "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "Life of Pi." You can book your IMAX tickets exclusively through here:
