Survey Says: Daniel Day-Lewis Should Win the Oscar

The votes are in. 's trusty users have chosen Daniel Day-Lewis as the most deserving of the Oscar for Best Actor of 2012. He was nominated for his superb portrayal of American President Abraham Lincoln in Spielberg's "Lincoln," a biopic of the legendary figure who reunited a civil war-torn America in the 1860s. The British-Irish method actor would make Academy Award history as the first man to win three Best Actor Oscars. We'll have to wait and see if the Academy agrees with the 34% of our users who voted for him.

In second place comes Hugh Jackman for "Les Miserables," earning 26% of your votes. Following Jackman with 22% is Denzel Washington for his performance in "Flight" about a heroic yet alcoholic pilot.

Joaquin Phoenix won 8% of the votes for "The Master." And despite being People's Sexiest Man Alive, Bradley Cooper came in last for his impressive portrayal of Pat Solitano in "Silver Linings Playbook."
