A fire has destroyed the apartment of American " Twilight" star Ashley Greene, not to mention permanently damaged the historic Granville building of luxury condominiums located in West Hollywood.

Initial reports stated that on March 22, an unattended candle in the living room fell on the sofa, engulfing it in flames that quickly spread to the rest of the apartment. Greene's boyfriend and brother were sleeping over when the fire spread.

Damages are manifold for Greene: three neighbors sustained minor injuries while fleeing the seven-story building, and one of her two dogs died. According to report, the three left the apartment before realizing the dogs were still inside.

Ashley's apartment and four other units will have to be "completely gutted." The L.A. County Sheriff's Department has declared the fire an accident that "occurred as a result of carelessness." Greene is said to be in a very fragile state.
