Khaleeji show " Kalam el Nass" (Talk of the People) has announced it's canceled a number of shooting days scheduled in Beirut, as a result of the instability in the region recently. Saudi actor and producer Hassan Assery made the announcement on behalf of the show, which is slated to air this Ramadan.

Assery has said that after consulting with the series' director Amr Eldeeny and writer Alaa Eldin Hamzy, a collective decision was taken to cancel those scenes. Cushioning their decision was the Saudi Arabian ambassador Ali bin Awadh Asiri's recent urging Saudi citizens in Lebanon to leave due current tensions.

Assery confirmed that the decision came out of concern for the safety of the cast and crew, especially since those scenes could be taken out altogether or shot in alternative locations.

Sectarian violence from the ongoing Syrian conflict, now 27 months in, has lately been spilling into southern Lebanon. It culminated this week with Sunni-Hezbollah clashes flaring up in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.
