Iconic upper Egypt drama writer Mohamed Safaa Amer dies after suffering from heart pain

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Drama writer Mohamed Safaa Amer died at the hospital of Dar El Fouad where he spent his last days. Amer suffered from heart pain. The funeral will be at Hossari Mosque in the Sixth of October city and he will be buried at the family's cemeteries in Sayeda Aisha.

Screenwriter Mohamed Safaa Amer is originally from Qena. He's considered one of the most important writers who focused on upper Egypt, writing drama shows that became iconic in Egyptian drama. From his works we mention “ Ze'ab El Gabal”, “ Al Do' El Shared”, “ Helm El Ganouby” and his last work “ Afrah Eblis”.

In addition to drama series, he wrote some movies, most recently “ Saedy Rayeh Gai” released in 2001.
