Amr Waked Joins International Orizzonti Jury at 70th Venice Film Fest

Egyptian actor and activist link on a red carpet together on August 28th.

Amr Waked's 2012 film " El Sheta Eli Fat" (Winter of Discontent) enjoyed a robust turnout for its screening at the festival last year. The docu-drama about the political turmoil leading up the 2011 Egyptian revolution was the only Egyptian film accepted in last year's festival.

Audiences last saw Waked in the Ramadan drama "El Zawga El Thania," a remake of the classic 1967 Soad Hosni film.
