A lot of artists expressed their views on social media sites regarding the Egyptian football team 2/1 win over Ghana in the home game that took place yesterday in the Air Defense stadium, as part of the qualifying matches for the 2014 football world cup. Ghana qualified with the two matches aggregate result. Some artists expressed their disappointment, while others saw the match as a deserved victory for the Egyptian team.

Singer Mohamed Hamaki tweeted: “Hardluck we ta7ya masr (long live Egypt)... it was a good game.”Actress Ghada Abdel Razek was disappointed with the result, saying “Just another disappointment among many,” while she was keen on congratulating Saudia Arabia and Algeria in another tweet: “Congratulations to Algeria and Saudia Arabia for qualifying for the world cup, it's an honor to all of the Arab nations”

Nabil El Halafawi commented“This is a normal game, we win or they win with one or two goals ahead, three if it's a surprise.... but what happened in Ghana is illogical, and it's typical of Egyptians to do illogical things from time to time,” in a reference to the away game, in which the Egyptians were vanquished with a 1/6 loss.

Poet Amir Teaima commented on the Zamalek Club player Mahmoud Shikabala's performance: “Although a very talented player, he doesn't offer anything with the national team. Hazem Imam is an international player, and coach Bradley failed to make a good starting formation in both games,” while young singer Carmen Suleman tweeted “Long live Egypt under any circumstances.”

Director Osman Abou Laban commented on coach Bob Bradley's performance saying: “Bradly very bad coach,” while actor Mohamed Karim wrote: “Hard luck for our Egyptian National #Football Team U did your Best Today.”
