Cinema Professions Syndicate Interferes to resolve the crisis of “Asrar Aa'eleya”

Cinema professions syndicate, headed by Mossad Fouda, issued two official statements related to the crisisdirector Hany Fawzy is facing with Egypt censorship body. Onestatement was to the director and the other was to Ahmed Awad, headof the censorship body.

Fouda demanded both sides to refrainfrom public statements about the crisis, affirming the syndicate'skeenness to clarify the truth about the matter before taking anysides. The syndicate will also set a date to watch the movie to havea better understanding.

The main crisis started when Ahmed Awadinsisted on deleting 13 scenes from " Asrar Aa'eleya" because itcarries "sexual connotations" and "calls for homosexuality." Director Hany Fawzy refused the abusive editing to the final cut,accusing Awad of delaying the release date.
