In an interview with the British Metro, Robert De Niro stated that he is certain his time as a leading actor is over, but is happy to play supporting roles so he can keep working.

He added that he considers his role in Last Vegas to be a very good opportunity, and that it's cool to play the lead once again, “But you're not carrying the movie as the young romantic lead - those days are gone.”

Micheal Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline co-star with De Niro in Last Vegas, which follows the ageing foursome’s trip to Sin city to throw a stag party for Douglas’s character, their last single friend who is finally about to make it up the aisle… with a woman half his age.
