Warner Bros.' “Man of Steel” Postponed to 2016

WarnerBros. has pushed the release date of the sequel to the Superman movie“ Man of Steel” has been pushed back nearly a year to 2016.

Theproduction company issued a written statement Friday announcing theuntitled film -- featuring Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleckas Batman -- will be released May 6, 2016, rather than the previouslyannounced July 2015 release date.

Theannouncement of Affleck as Batman has raised controversy among thecomic-movie fans. Warner also announced a new film about Peter Panwill be in theaters in the July 2015 slot vacated by the "Man ofSteel" sequel.
