Bassem Youssef: I will not vote for El-Sisi...the 30th of June saved me from the Brotherhood

Comedian Bassem youssef was presenterAmr El Leithy's guest on his show “Be Wodouh” (Clearly)yesterday.

During the interview, Youssef said thatdespite the offers he received from international broadcasters, heinsisted that his show will be broadcasted through a one airing fromEgypt and abiding by Egyptian media laws.

And about the Field Marshal El-Sisi'snomination to the presidency, he said that he would prefer for thegeneral to stay as a Defense Minister explaining that he “Prefersthe army stays out of politics.” He also said that if he had tochoose between Sami Anan, Amr Moussa, Hamdeen Sabahi and El-Sisi, hewould vote for either Amr Moussa or Hamdeen Sabahi after announcingtheir electoral plans.

The political satirist refused to namethe 30th of June a “Coup” and also a “PureRevolution.” He also criticized the current trend in the Egyptianmedia, describing it as unprofessional, subjective andpropagandistic.

Bassem Youssef's first episode of hisshow will air this Friday, from MBC Egypt this time.
