Talks with Zac Efron to Join Star Wars Cast

Zac Efron has confirmed that there are ongoing negotiations with him to join the cast of the upcoming installment to the Star Wars franchise, mentioning that he has recently attended meetings with the producers, and the final decision is yet to be made.

A group of other stars were nominated to form the ensemble, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Cumberbatch and Simon Pegg.

In addition, the cast will already include some of the recurring Star Wars actors, like Harrison Ford, who has been confirmed on board. The new episode will be theatrically released during December of 2015. Efron's most recent work was in That Awkward Moment, currently in theaters.
