Hollywood Stars Mourn Philip Seymour Hoffman at Private Funeral

With the presence of a lot of Hollywood's major stars, Philip Seymour Hoffman's funeral took place last Friday, with grief reigning the entire atmosphere as friends and acquaintances said farewell to ' The Master'.

The funeral took place at the Church of St Ignatius Loyola, Manhattan. Among the stars present were Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams, who have shared the lead with the deceased in The Master in 2012, with the film's director Paul Thomas Anderson also present with his wife Maya Rudolph. Oscar winner Meryl Streep and The Exorcist star Ellen Burstyn.

Also among the sombre attendees was the English star Cate Blanchett, along with her husband, Australian writer/director Andrew Upton, Ethan Hawke, Michelle Williams, Ashley Olsen, director Spike Lee, Hoffman's ' Magnolia' co-stars John C. Riley and Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, and director Joel Coen.
