Julia Roberts is mourning the death of her sister, 37-year-old Nancy Motes, who died of a drug overdose in a Los Angeles home.

Nancy was found by paramedics on the floor of her bathroom. "She has a history of some medical issues," said Winter. "Some prescription drugs were found near her body." CNN reported.

Roberts' family made a statement announcing Nancy's death. In an interview with The Mirror, Julia stated that it was a shock to the family, that reminded her of her role in August: Osage County, in which a disaster rejoiced the whole family together.

Roberts is nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her role in the film.
