Jennifer Lawrence Fans Petition For MTV Awards Recognition

A lot of Jennifer Lawrence's fans havebeen disgruntled when the list of the MTV Awards nominations was out,as Lawrence wasn't included among the nominees in the Best Herocategory, for her role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The fans have started a petitionagainst MTV's nominations, to get Jennifer's character 'Katniss'added to the list that currently includes Henry Cavill, Channing Tatum, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Martin Freeman.

The petition stated that the list does not contain any feminine character, and added: “Young women already have too few female heroes represented in film and television. We’re constantly shown by the entertainment industry that men are brave, powerful, or successful, while women are often given supporting roles and weak characters.”

The petition has collected 12,000 signatures till now, and will obviously reach its goal of 15,000 in just a couple of days.

However, Lawrence is already nominated in the best actress, best kiss and best battle scene in the 13th MTV Movie Awards which will be announced next April.
