The Digital Spy news website has revealed that Daniel Craig has withdrawn from starring in 'The Whole Truth', which was expected to start production on the 5th of this month.

The Sky Fall star hasn't yet announced his reasons of skipping the role. However, his withdrawal was an unexpected blow to the producers, who haven't yet decided to proceed with the production and look for another lead. The film is a courtroom drama, in which Craig was supposed to play a lawyer investigating a crime to prove a young man innocent after being convicted with murder.

The film's producers have also revealed earlier that Renée Zellwegerwas their first candidate for the female lead role. It would have been her first appearance on screen since her 2010 film My Own Love Song.
