Rumors of New Project for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” duo Rooney Mara and David Fincher

American actress Rooney Maraand director David Fincher, who worked together in The Girl with theDragon Tattoo, are preparing for a possibly collaboration on a new film, “Red Sparrow.”

“Red Sparrow” is based on Jason Matthew's spy thriller novel ofthe same name and is being adapted for film by screenwriter Eric Warren Singer of “ American Hustle.” The plot revolves around a Russian intelligence officer attempting to operate against a young CIA agent.

Rooney Mara's performance in“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” earned her anomination at theAcademy Awards for Best Actressin 2011. Mara and Fincher also worked together on “ The Social Network” in 2010.
