Bassem Samra: Criticisms for “Sadiq El ‘Amr” (Lifelong Friend) Are Exaggerated

Yesterday actor Bassem Samra finished filming his role in the TV series “ Sadiq El Omr” (Lifelong Friend), through which he is engaged in this Ramadan television serial season, alongside Syrian actor Gamal Soliman and Tunisian actress Dorra. “Sadiq El Omr” is the only Ramadan TV series that Samra appears in.

Bassem, who plays the character of Field Marshal Abdel Hakim Amer in the show, commented on the criticism that the show has received. Hethat it’s exaggerated,especially considering that it started to be directed at the showsince its first episodeaired withouttime to see thedirection that the serials’ events willtake. He pointed to the fact that the show largely successful in the Gulf and Arab countries.

Bassem explained that the onslaught of criticism that Gamal Soliman has faced is unjustified, and that one must see the whole series before passing judgement. He added that he has been happy to work with Soliman because he is a great actor who has done important work. Bassem said that he learned a great deal from Soliman over the process of filming the show together.
