Head Of Censorship: “Bitter Sugar” won't be for “Adults Only”

Dr. Abdel Fattah Sabry, head of the Egyptian Art Censorship Board, has decided to end the controversy over the upcoming film “ Sukkar Mor” (Bitter Sugar), which was sparked after several members of the board requested it to be given an “Adults Only” sticker, as it contains some offensive language.

In an exclusive interview with , Fathy also mentioned that instead, the film will carry a “PG” sticker, and that he personally liked the film upon watching it, and confirmed that it does not contain what necessitates an “Adults Only” sticker.

Sukkar Mor stars Ahmed El Fishawy, Haytham Ahmed Zaki, Shery Adel, Ayten Amer, Karim Fahmy, Nabil Eissa, Amina Khalil, Nahed El Sebaei, Omar El Said and Sarah Shahin, and was written by Mohamed Abdel Moaty and directed by Hany Khalifa, in his second directorial effort since “ Sahar El Layaly” (Sleepless Nights).
