The Mass-Communication chamber has banned the airing of television series for 24 hours to end on 7:00 p.m tomorrow Tuesday, as a mourning gesture for the assassination of general prosecutor Hisham Barakat.

An agreement has been reached between the Chamber and satellite channels under its direct control, regarding a statement that should air on the channels for 30 minutes as condolences for the deceased government official.

The assassination took place while Barakat was inside his car in Heliopolis, due to targeted explosion. He died inside Al-Nozha International Hospital suffering from severe injuries.

Reports add another 9 victims, the prosecutor's guards who were injured during the explosion, and a single civilian who happened to be walking near the incident's location.
