Official Poster Released for Legal Drama "Fjord" Starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve Ahead of October Release

The official poster for the highly anticipated legal drama thriller Fjord, starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve, has been released ahead of its theatrical debut on October 9. The film has already garnered strong critical acclaim, holding a 90% approval rating from critics.

Based on the widely publicized true story of the Bodnariu family (renamed the Giurgiu family for the film), the narrative centers on a Romanian immigrant family residing in Norway. Their lives are upended as they fall under investigation and face the strict surveillance of the local judicial system after Norwegian child welfare services arbitrarily strip them of custody of their children.

With this project, Romanian writer-director Cristian Mungiu makes history as only the tenth filmmaker to win the prestigious Palme d'Or twice at the Cannes Film Festival, following his landmark 2007 win for 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days. Additionally, the film has been officially selected as Romania's submission for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards in 2027.
