Ahmed Al Danaf, the police chief, goes to the governor of Baghdad; however, the governor rebukes him and demands that he find a solution to the thieves robbing trade caravans at the gates of Baghdad. Bariq Al Rumaah objects to Ahmed Al Danaf, the Egyptian, becoming the police chief of Baghdad.

Hassan Ra'as Al Ghoul is appointed as Al Danaf's assistant. Dalila, Ahmed Al Danaf's wife, devises a cunning plan through an evil old man to get Saleh to divorce his wife and marry her. She asks Saleh to go to her husband, the police chief, and ask her to marry him.

Dalila continues her tricks, stealing items from several places, so that Hassan Ra'as Al Ghoul knows that she is the one doing it. Al Danaf becomes concerned and tells Hassan that Dalila might be running a gang of women to spread chaos in Baghdad.

Ra'as Al Ghoul returns to Egypt and goes with his uncle Yusuf to the governor. He tells him that the governor in Iraq heard the rumors, believed them, and dismissed him from his job. So, the governor appoints him as a police chief in Egypt. Ra'as Al Ghoul asks to marry his cousin Fatima, and she agrees.

Dalila arrives in Egypt, targeting Ra'as Al Ghoul. She asks Al Kalbi to spread the word in the market about what she did to Hassan in Baghdad, how she imprisoned him, and how the governor dismissed him from his job thanks to her tricks and intelligence. Al Kalbi asks his assistant to help Dalila eliminate Ra'as Al Ghoul.

Al Kalbi offers a slave girl as a gift to Ra'as Al Ghoul, but his assistant, Salem, is afraid of her and warns his master. Al Kalbi agrees with Dalila to give Hassan the slave girl, Narjis, because she aspires to marry Al Kalbi and will agree to kill Ra'as Al Ghoul as a token of the marriage.

Narjis, the slave girl, pretends to hate Al Kalbi and is happy to live in Ra'as Al Ghoul's house, and his wife, Fatima, believes her. Al Kalbi and Dalila frame a jeweler for a crime and put the stolen goods in Hassan's house, which leads to his dismissal from his position as police chief.

Ra'as Al Ghoul and his soldiers are imprisoned, and Salem devises a plan for Ra'as Al Ghoul's escape. Dalila disguises herself as a fortuneteller and goes to Ra'as Al Ghoul's house. Al Ghoul decides to leave Egypt and gives his soldiers freedom to do as they please.

Salem goes to Ra'as Al Ghoul's house to bring him food, and tells his wife Fatima and his uncle Youssef that he intends to leave Egypt. However, the slave girl Narjis poisons Hassan's food, causing him to die. Fatima learns that she is pregnant with a child after her husband's death.

Fatima quarrels with her son Aly because he took the sword out of her room without her knowledge, and urges him to focus on seeking knowledge. Aly goes to Salem to ask him about his father. Dalila asks Zurayq, the fishmonger at Al Danaf, but he tells her that no one knows where he is.

The governor summons Salah Al Kalbi to question him about the imposition of exorbitant taxes. Al Kalbi's men burn down all the merchants' shops. Aly once again disobeys Salem's orders and continues training in combat and carrying a weapon.

Al Zeybak disguises himself as a cook, befriends the head cook at Al Kalbi's house, and works with him to keep an eye on Al Kalbi. Al Zeybak then disguises himself as a woman, deceives Al Kalbi, and enters his room, revealing his identity and stating that he will continue to humiliate him.

Dalila and her daughter disguise themselves as male merchants and go to Salem to ask for a strong, intelligent boy who resembles Al Zeybak and plays chess. Aly disguises himself as a merchant and goes to Al Kalbi with his sheikh, Alwan, and tells him that he intends to trade in the country.

Al Kalbi becomes angry with his assistant, Othman, and orders him to search for the Alexandrian merchant, searching every inn to find him. Al Kalbi's men kill the chief of the merchants and spread the word in the neighborhood that Al Zeybak is the one who killed him.
