Ahmed Al Danaf, the police chief, goes to the governor of Baghdad; however, the governor rebukes him and demands that he find a solution to the thieves robbing trade caravans at the gates of Baghdad. Bariq Al Rumaah objects to Ahmed Al Danaf, the Egyptian, becoming the police chief of Baghdad.

Hassan Ra'as Al Ghoul is appointed as Al Danaf's assistant. Dalila, Ahmed Al Danaf's wife, devises a cunning plan through an evil old man to get Saleh to divorce his wife and marry her. She asks Saleh to go to her husband, the police chief, and ask her to marry him.

Dalila continues her tricks, stealing items from several places, so that Hassan Ra'as Al Ghoul knows that she is the one doing it. Al Danaf becomes concerned and tells Hassan that Dalila might be running a gang of women to spread chaos in Baghdad.

As Dalila impersonates Wasfiyya, the daughter of the chief merchant, and kidnaps his son, the matter reaches the governor. Ra'as Al Ghoul and Al Danaf investigate the matter after Dalila's crimes increase. The chief merchant is summoned to be questioned about Ra'as Al Ghoul's disappearance.

Abdullah tells his wife, Dalila, that he wants to stay by her side, but she gets angry at him. Ra'as Al Ghoul tells his assistant, Salem, that he's thinking of returning to Egypt, but Salem assures him that a spy is reporting their news.

Dalila's husband, Abdullah, is arrested. Al Danaf goes to the same restaurant to meet Dalila, not knowing that she is the woman wanted. She deceives him, drugs them with bread, and locks them up with Hassan.

Ra'as Al Ghoul returns to Egypt and goes with his uncle Yusuf to the governor. He tells him that the governor in Iraq heard the rumors, believed them, and dismissed him from his job. So, the governor appoints him as a police chief in Egypt. Ra'as Al Ghoul asks to marry his cousin Fatima, and she agrees.

Dalila arrives in Egypt, targeting Ra'as Al Ghoul. She asks Al Kalbi to spread the word in the market about what she did to Hassan in Baghdad, how she imprisoned him, and how the governor dismissed him from his job thanks to her tricks and intelligence. Al Kalbi asks his assistant to help Dalila eliminate Ra'as Al Ghoul.

Al Kalbi offers a slave girl as a gift to Ra'as Al Ghoul, but his assistant, Salem, is afraid of her and warns his master. Al Kalbi agrees with Dalila to give Hassan the slave girl, Narjis, because she aspires to marry Al Kalbi and will agree to kill Ra'as Al Ghoul as a token of the marriage.

Narjis, the slave girl, pretends to hate Al Kalbi and is happy to live in Ra'as Al Ghoul's house, and his wife, Fatima, believes her. Al Kalbi and Dalila frame a jeweler for a crime and put the stolen goods in Hassan's house, which leads to his dismissal from his position as police chief.

Ra'as Al Ghoul and his soldiers are imprisoned, and Salem devises a plan for Ra'as Al Ghoul's escape. Dalila disguises herself as a fortuneteller and goes to Ra'as Al Ghoul's house. Al Ghoul decides to leave Egypt and gives his soldiers freedom to do as they please.

Salem goes to Ra'as Al Ghoul's house to bring him food, and tells his wife Fatima and his uncle Youssef that he intends to leave Egypt. However, the slave girl Narjis poisons Hassan's food, causing him to die. Fatima learns that she is pregnant with a child after her husband's death.

Fatima quarrels with her son Aly because he took the sword out of her room without her knowledge, and urges him to focus on seeking knowledge. Aly goes to Salem to ask him about his father. Dalila asks Zurayq, the fishmonger at Al Danaf, but he tells her that no one knows where he is.

The merchant Omar goes to the governor to complain about the injustice of the police chief Al Kalbi in the extortion and taxation. Sheikh Alwan suffers from Aly's problems at school.

The governor summons Salah Al Kalbi to question him about the imposition of exorbitant taxes. Al Kalbi's men burn down all the merchants' shops. Aly once again disobeys Salem's orders and continues training in combat and carrying a weapon.

Aly disguises himself and goes to the traitorous merchant who gave false testimony and takes money from him. He continues to disguise himself and play tricks on Al Kalbi's men, and the locals call him Al Zeybak (the Mercury) because of his quick disappearance.

Al Zeybak disguises himself as a cook, befriends the head cook at Al Kalbi's house, and works with him to keep an eye on Al Kalbi. Al Zeybak then disguises himself as a woman, deceives Al Kalbi, and enters his room, revealing his identity and stating that he will continue to humiliate him.

Dalila and her daughter disguise themselves as male merchants and go to Salem to ask for a strong, intelligent boy who resembles Al Zeybak and plays chess. Aly disguises himself as a merchant and goes to Al Kalbi with his sheikh, Alwan, and tells him that he intends to trade in the country.

Al Kalbi becomes angry with his assistant, Othman, and orders him to search for the Alexandrian merchant, searching every inn to find him. Al Kalbi's men kill the chief of the merchants and spread the word in the neighborhood that Al Zeybak is the one who killed him.

Al Kalbi decides to go to the bathroom to relax and think about how to catch Al Zeybak. He recognizes Aly because he has once again disguised himself as an assistant cook at Al Kalbi's house. Aly plays chess with Zainab while in disguise.

Othman tells Al Kalbi's last assistant that he cannot cooperate with Al Zeybak against him and that his suspicion of him is misplaced. Dalila and her daughter search the market for a way to reach Al Zeybak, and Al Zeybak disguises himself as a perfumer and meets Dalila.

News of Zainab reaches Aly, and he hears of her beauty and charm. He fears that she is the daughter of Dalila, who has evil intentions. Dalila asks her daughter to come up with a plan to eliminate Al Zeybak, as she cannot sleep.

Al Kalbi and his assistant go to the bathhouse to devise a plan to trap Al Zeybak, which Dalila had drawn up, but he carries out his prank on them and escapes as usual. Dalila and her daughter go to Al Kalbi's palace and stay there. Al Zeybak complains to Salem about his preoccupation with Zainab.

Al Zeybak disguises himself as a traveling merchant and plays a new trick on Al Kalbi, making him even more of a target for public ridicule. Al Kalbi quarrels with Dalila because every plan she devises makes him more of a laughingstock.

Al Kalbi appeals to the people to cooperate with the police to get rid of Al Zeybak. Zainab leaves a message for Dalila that she wants to return to Baghdad. Salem tells Aly that he is the son of H Hassan Ra'as Al Ghoul, that his father killed Zainab's father and Dalila's husband, and that his love for him is impossible.

Dalila tells her daughter Zainab that Al Zeybak is the son of Ra'as Al Ghoul, her father's killer. Fatima hands his father's sword to her son, Aly. Dalila sets up an ambush for Aly, arresting him while he is with her daughter Zainab, asking her to marry him.

Fatima cries for her son after he is arrested. Fatima meets Zainab and tells her that her husband, Al Ghoul, did not intentionally kill her father, but was one of his henchmen; her mother, Dalila, incited him towards betrayal and pushed him to his death.

The prison guard, Masrour, helps Aly Al Zeybak escape. Dalila tries to intercede for Al Kalbi with the governor, but he refuses. Aly meets Zainab, who tells him that her mother almost forced her to marry Al Kalbi. Moreover, Aly steals the treasury.

Aly sets fire to a house next to the treasury. Al Kalbi goes to Zainab's room, where Aly is hiding inside a large box. He succeeds in capturing both Dalila and Al Kalbi and offers to release Dalila and live with him and Zainab in peace.

Dalila confesses to everyone that she was the one who planned the murder of Ra'as Al Ghoul. Aly Al Zeybak is appointed police chief, and Al Kalbi is imprisoned. Moreover, Dalila is expelled from the country, and Zainab departs with her.
