The series revolves around young Jessie, who lives in a small town but has big ambitions and dreams, which makes her go to the city. She gets surprised by the reality when she works as a nanny for four children, and events escalate.
Teenage Jessie moves to New York to pursue her dream; however, she ends up working as a nanny for four children, each with their own set of problems. Emma has to deal with an aggressive classmate, and Ravi tries to find good parents to adopt Mrs. Kipling's children.
In Season 3, Jessie and the kids are excluded from a Halloween party. But they throw their own party, which is interrupted when evil spirits possess Emma and Luke.
The children believe that their nanny, Jessie, will move to Africa, so they decide to travel as well. However, they end up in an exciting adventure, before they learn about their parents’ bankruptcy, and then the events follow.
