As Rachel is promoted to producer on the show, she and Quinn cast the first African-American suitor, footballer Darius Beck. However, problems arise when Chet returns and attempts to take charge of the show.

With Chet back on set of Everlasting, his ideas clash with those of Rachel, so they start shooting two versions of the show. As sides start to form, Rachel fears for her new promotion, forcing her to take action, which brings about an interesting turn of events.

Chet starts producing a more male-centered version of Everlasting, all the while he's dealing with a family problem. Quinn seeks to add a pinch of drama to an episode by baiting two contestants. Rachel feels there's something suspicious about Darius.

As Darius tells Rachel his secret, he determines on quitting the show. However, Rachel reaches out to Coleman to help talk him into staying. Chet and Quinn work together on a football episode.

As Coleman asks Rachel to accompany him to the Impact Awards, both he and Quinn fight for Rachel's support. The new network owner takes Quinn's side. Trouble arises on set because of the relationship between Rachel and Jeremy.

As Rachel deals with a harrowing experience, Chet comes to her aid. Quinn seeks a new romance, while an enraged Darius comes to a surprising decision.

Quinn meddles in the relationship of Rachel and Coleman. Darius resolves to take a break from the show with Romeo. An unanticipated guest pays the set a surprise visit.

As Quinn takes over the reins of the show, she's forced to focus on her career at the expense of her love life. Following an incident that involves Daruis, Rachel discloses a startling secret to Coleman.

Coleman tries to push Rachel to assist him in destroying Quinn and sabotaging the show; however, Rachel already got her own plan. Darius and Jay team up to make sure that the contestants they want reach the finale.

Quinn still got some cards to play before the show's finale, yet her plans are threatened by a surprising incident. With Coleman's plot to blow the gaff on the show set in motion, Rachel decides to confront him.
