Although David's religious Manchester family believes the end of the world is imminent, a week passes without it occurring, which increases Father David's attention on his responsibilities within the church.

Fiona chooses to defy social norms and launch her own company, which upsets David. David takes out the Order's thousand-year-old rulebook and uses it to keep an eye on his family.

In an attempt to attract Fiona's attention, David enrolls in a teenage love class, while Rachel meets a devout girl at church who has changed her opinion about dating.

David's weekly dates make Fiona feel restricted, so she concentrates on her neighbor Andrew while David reveals off his hidden box, which he refers to as the "Tupperware of sin."

While Fiona organizes a girls' night out, David takes Aaron on a trip to further their relationship, but things don't go as planned because there is no electricity and the only water supply is what leaks from the ceiling.

Everyone participates in an annual church party, and Rachel discovers that her college application was withdrawn without her knowledge, and it turns out that her mother, Fiona, was the one who did it.
