As the two students Maysoon and Mervat are stabbed to death by an unknown person, the dancer Riri, Maysoon’s mother, collapses, while Lieutenant Colonel Shukri tries to decipher the incident.
Riri falls down the stairs and falls into a coma. Tamer, the university's vice president, suffers a heart attack after learning of Maysoon's murder. Investigations indicate that Riri has married Abdo, who tells Salama the details of his stabbing of Maysoon and Mervat, while investigations continue.
In the interrogation, Renada testifies about Mervat's father assaulting her and forcing her to wear the niqab, Mervat's ridicule to Maysoon that her mother is a dancer, Riri's thinking about retiring from dancing, and Maysoon and Suhaila's disagreements, while Riri wakes up from the coma with no memory.
Adel rejects a suspicious deal with the university requested by Dr. Nageh, despite the large commission. Shukri questions Suhaila and Roca about their relationship with Mervat, and learns from them that she had turned to working in drug distribution at the university.
Maha scolds Nageh for handling university matters without consulting her after Dr. Azmi was expelled. Shukri tries to find out what sort of a relationship Tariq and Sabri had with Maysoon, Renada, and Mervat.
While being questioned, Tariq talks about Dr. Maha's son Tamer's relationship with Maysoon. Suhaila confronts Nageh and accuses him of being responsible for Mervat's death.
Maha tries to find out her son Tamer's relationship with Salama, the owner of the car showroom, and if he is using drugs. In a flashback, Rizk decides to have his daughter Mervat transferred from the university and reject her relationship with her collegemate, but Nageh convinces him to back off.
In a flashback, Nageh proposes to Mervat and goes mad after her common-law marriage to Tariq. In the present, Tariq and Sabri quarrel because Tariq accused Tamer of killing Maysoon. A psychiatrist testifies that Maysoon suffered from schizophrenia and this could have resulted from drug abuse.
Nageh returns Adel to the university and asks to buy the shipment stuck at the port in exchange for Adel's apology for his accusations against the university. Nageh burns the shipment and reports Adel. Abdo confesses to having killed Maysoon and robbed the apartment. Riri tries to regain her memory.
In a flashback, Riri's ex-husband’s enemies threaten to harm her daughter. Returning to the present, Maha finds a letter addressed to Maysoon by someone who wanted to marry her. Abdo denies having killed Maysoon, and the prosecution charges Musa with murder.
Salama sends a bribe to Abdo so that he doesn't mention his connection to the crime in the interrogation. Aida tells the prosecution about Salama’s drug trade, and the connection of an unknown wealthy woman to Maysoon’s murder.
Talaat's wife fabricates obscene videos of his daughter Renada and blackmails him for a large sum. Sabah rejects her nephew's proposal to marry her daughter Suhaila. In a flashback, Tamer appears, getting Maysoon to take drugs.
Aida is murdered and the prosecution suspects Salama's connection to the crime. The prosecution questions Shukria, Talaat's ex-wife, about her connection to Mervat's murder. Nageh locks Kawthar in the warehouse because of her spying on behalf of Suhaila, who gets kidnapped.
Tamer steals a file from Nageh’s office, and Nageh detains him. Kawthar sends a distress message from where she is being held. Roca gives the prosecution a flash drive incriminating Nageh. It turns out that Suhaila’s cousin is her kidnapper who did it for money.
Nageh and Maha confess to planning and killing Mervat and Maysoon because of an incriminating video that Mervat had in her possession, while Riri regains her memory.
