Mehmed the Conqueror faces new challenges in his quest to expand westward, as Vlad III, the ruler of Wallachia, competes with him. Mehmed sends Maria to persuade the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus to ally with him, while his army advances towards his goal. Vlad uses guerrilla tactics to weaken the Ottomans, while the intensity of the conflict reveals conspiracies and betrayal.
