Hanaa argues with Sharif that she cannot care for his mother when she gets sick. Her brother Mustafa scolds her for abandoning her mother-in-law, who had helped raise her son. Hanaa unwillingly stays with her unwell mother-in-law, but she complains and leaves, saddening Sharif. However, Hanaa's mother's health problem makes her reflect on herself and hope Sharif will let her return home.
