Hatem takes great pride in his work at the archive and spares no effort despite his poor health. His wife and children become upset with him, and his wife suspects him of infidelity due to his long absences. When the government office faces a financial crisis, Hatem sacrifices his comfort and works even longer hours, only to be shocked when he learns that he may be separated from the archive.
