Jamil works as a teacher and gives the student Ghazi private lessons. The latter tells him that he has a sense that allows him to detect some actions before they happen. Jamil remains concerned about his mother’s illness and her need for surgery, but he does not have the money.
Jamil decides to rely on his luck in the lottery to get money. He plans with Ghazi to apply the probability theory to the lottery numbers in the hope that they will win. They agree with Abu Samir, the lottery tickets seller, to obtain the required numbers.
Jamil and Ghazi get the winning lottery ticket, their financial condition improves, and Jamil decides to have his mother undergo the surgery. Jamil meets the girl Laila and falls in love with her, but the mysterious man Facheh visits him at home and reveals to him what he is doing.
Jamil keeps looking for all the people who previously won the lottery and tries to find out what happened to them.
Laila is surprised by Jamil's changed treatment of her and his aloofness with her. Ghazi's father dies, and Jamil is shocked when Abu Samir denies their previous dealings together.
Facheh tells Jamil his secret and agrees with him to enter his game and to save him from certain death, so Jamil gets a leave of absence from his school and begins participating in Facheh's game.
Jamil agrees to enter Facheh's game, from which no one has come out alive. He challenges him, confronts every stage, and succeeds in saving himself.
