Abdo, the coffee shop owner, is unable to pay his rent, so Hamida, the owner of the house, seizes his property and threatens to evict him if he does not pay the overdue rent. His friend, Musilhi, and his daughter, Samiha, try to help him.

Abdo remembers his marriage to the mother of his daughter, Zahra's mother, and his suffering with her, and her abandonment of her daughter when she was a baby. Ratiba takes care of Zahra when she is sick, and on the other hand, Omar agrees to marry Samiha.

Omar suspects that there is a relationship between Abdo and Samiha. Abdo’s aunt dies and leaves him a huge fortune. Zahra’s illness worsens, and she dies.

Abdo and Ratiba move to their aunt's house to live there. Abdo believes that the bag of money he inherited from his aunt might be stolen, so he asks his friend Fikry to buy him a safe to put the money in.

Fikry falls in love with Samiha and marries her. Abdo makes a ten-year plan to spend the money. Years pass, and Abdo seeks to help Musilhi financially in return for his kindness. Abdo returns to his previous life and his old apartment.
